climate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <\/span><b>financial situation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of a large portion of the population has been <\/span><b>affected <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and is even<\/span><b> very precarious<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in some cases. Many people are turning to <\/span><b>food banks or community resources<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for assistance. And while we appreciate the support provided by these various resources, they too seem to be facing<\/span><b> significant strain <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and a <\/span><b>growing shortage<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhat can we do?\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a question I\u2019m being asked more and more frequently as anxiety levels skyrocket.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I remember how <\/span><b>powerless<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I felt when I faced a <\/span><b>significant lack of money<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so I have immense <\/span><b>Compassion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for everyone currently in that situation. I also have such deep <\/span><b>Appreciation <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for my current financial situation\u2026<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That said, over the years, I\u2019ve had the <\/span><b>opportunity and immense privilege to open my consciousness and dive into the heart of Neutrality<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and all its attributes. In doing so, I\u2019ve been inspired to <\/span><b>cocreate numerous tools to assist Humanity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014tools that, I hope with all my heart, will be able to assist you as well. \u263a<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But before continuing, I\u2019d like to share a study that clearly demonstrates the impact of financial stress on the human brain.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section data-particle_enable=\"false\" data-particle-mobile-disabled=\"false\" class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1020096f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"1020096f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-17ce98d6\" data-id=\"17ce98d6\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3e9fe27e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3e9fe27e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><b>Study published in the journal <\/b><b><i>Science<\/i><\/b><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-28d63665 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"28d63665\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a landmark study published in 2013 in the journal <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Science<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, researchers from Harvard, Princeton, and the University of Warwick sought to understand <\/span><b>what happens in our brains when we\u2019re worried about our finances<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So they conducted an experiment in a New Jersey shopping mall. They presented participants with a simple scenario: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">your car breaks down and the repair costs $1,500. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After presenting this situation, they tested the participants\u2019 cognitive abilities.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Here\u2019s what they discovered<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For <\/span><b>financially secure individuals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, thinking about this expense had <\/span><b>no effect on their mental abilities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. But for <\/span><b>those already stressed about money<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, simply thinking about this cost caused their<\/span><b> cognitive performance to plummet<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, equivalent to a 13-point drop in IQ.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s the <\/span><b>equivalent of a full night without sleep<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014just from thinking about a financial problem.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But the researchers didn\u2019t stop there.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They traveled to India to study sugarcane farmers, who are paid once a year, at harvest time. They tested the same farmers at two different times: before the harvest, when they were in financial difficulty, and then after they had been paid.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The same farmers. The same brains. When you\u2019re <\/span><b>stressed about money<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014inflation, retirement, unexpected bills, investments, whatever your situation\u2014your brain operates at <\/span><b>reduced capacity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Less creativity.<\/span><b> Less focus, and therefore less Quality of Presence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and less ability to clearly see opportunities.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Worry itself makes it harder to embrace new opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-72551c78 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"72551c78\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>So, how do we break this cycle?<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7035abd7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7035abd7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By addressing the stress itself, not just the external financial situation. Because <\/span><b>as long as the nervous system isn\u2019t calmed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you\u2019re trying to <\/span><b>solve problems with a brain operating at reduced capacity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There\u2019s a concept I often come back to that I call \u201c<\/span><b>lifestyle hygiene<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d This hygiene includes <\/span><b>eating, resting, sleeping, and showering\u2014and brushing your teeth<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, of course. But it also involves taking<\/span><b> breathing pauses<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>listening to harmonizations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to provide care for our nervous system. The idea is simple: treat your nervous system the way you treat your teeth. Simple, daily maintenance.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You don\u2019t brush your teeth because you have a cavity. You brush them to prevent cavities.
